Minh-Ha and Ryan's Hilton Torrey Pines Setlist

Minh-Ha and Ryan had a fairly low key, yet beautiful afternoon wedding at the Hilton Torrey Pines. As a golf fan, I always enjoy working here, since it's a chip shot away from one of the back nine fairways. This party did not have a lot of dancing (Minh Ha herself even said there were not a lot of dancers on the guest list), but I still provided a nice upbeat atmosphere to keep folks tapping their toes.

Chris and Tessie' Gig Video

Here is a short highlight package of Chris and Tessie's dance floor. For the full setlist of all the songs that night, go here. It was another fun night working with Emily Smiley and Eric Nelte of Blue Pearl Video. Lastly, a big thanks to True Photography who sent me some photos that I will be sharing later.

In the meantime, enjoy the video!

R.I.P. Kurt Cobain

Kurt Cobain died 17 years ago today.

From 1993-1995, Nirvana (and a host of other grunge rock) was the soundtrack of Centennial Hall - my dorm at Truman State University. Listening to Kurt’s scratchy tone reminds me of coming back from class in the late afternoon or getting ready to roll out on a Friday night.

This acoustic version of Come As You Are is one of my favorites. My favorite lyric? It's simple:

Come as you are,
As you were
As I want you to be
As a friend

Enjoy!
